Reverend  David  Groves DMIN, PhD

Reverend Groves is a Nashville native who was licensed to preach at age 13 and ordained at age 17 at the King Solomon Baptist Church. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army and received training as a chaplain's assistant and photo-journalist.

He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee - Knoxville, with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He also holds a Master of Divinity, a Doctor of Ministry, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He has done post-graduate studies at Boston University and Emory University.
Dr. Groves has served as pastor of Nashville's Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, and as a professor and interim academic dean at American Baptist College. He has taught history and religion at Knoxville College and African-American Studies at The University of Tennessee. He has also been visiting professor at Southern Seminary, a professor of Preaching and Worship at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, NC; and as dean of The Stone River District Association in Middle Tennessee.

Dr. Groves currently serves as director of Publications/Christian education at The R.H. Boyd Publishing Corporation. He also serves on the R.H. Boyd Company Board of Directors. 
Whether in pastoring, holding revivals, or leading workshops and seminars, Dr. Groves strives to be a servant to the Christian community.
